Menifee, CA – The Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Damon Hunneman, Member Engagement Coordinator, has been selected to serve on the 2026–2028 Emerging Leaders Council for the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.). Hunneman was formally recognized on stage during the 2026 W.A.C.E. Annual Conference on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson.
The Emerging Leaders Council identifies and develops future leaders within W.A.C.E. and the chamber industry. Council members serve a two-year term, advising the W.A.C.E. Board of Directors and President, contributing to industry programming, and participating in professional development initiatives that strengthen chambers across the western United States.
Hunneman joined the chamber industry in April 2023 and quickly distinguished himself through his commitment to professional growth, industry engagement, and meaningful community impact. His leadership philosophy centers on humility, collaboration, and a willingness to learn from peers. Through his work, he is determined to help the Menifee Valley Chamber reach its highest potential.
“Being selected as an Emerging Leader for W.A.C.E. is much larger than me,” said Hunneman. “It provides an opportunity to learn from some of the most respected leaders across the United States and bring those insights back to Menifee and Southwest Riverside County. I see this role as a responsibility to strengthen the impact and connections we create locally.”
The Western Association of Chamber Executives serves hundreds of chamber professionals across 21 states and Canada and is recognized as one of the leading professional development organizations in the chamber industry. Selection to the Emerging Leaders Council reflects demonstrated leadership potential, industry involvement, and a commitment to advancing the chamber profession.
Katie Luna, President and CEO of the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce, shared, “Team development is key to maintaining a high-performing chamber. Damon is a powerhouse connector, and his dedication to growth and excellence will make a strong impact through his service as an Emerging Leader and in the future of our chamber.” Hunneman’s selection further reinforces the Menifee Valley Chamber’s commitment to leadership development, regional collaboration, and delivering measurable impact for local businesses and the broader community.
