Dresses & Dreams Project Nonprofit Nominee Menifee Chamber

The Dresses & Dreams Project

The Dresses and Dreams Project A collaborative offering vulnerable teen girls and military women opportunities to make hopes and dreams a reality and offer a pathway to a purpose-driven life through the beauty of a free formal gown. This nonprofit organization got started when the founder, a child abuse and three-time crime survivor, moved to the Inland Empire from Los Angeles in 2013 and shortly after, got a vision about helping a few girls get to prom as a pay-it-forward, the way that somebody helped her own daughter get to the prom when as a single mother she could not afford to send her. God had a bigger plan and to date over 2,500 have been assisted. This is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization and for 365 days of the year, over 11 years.

Programs include the monthly military care package program supporting thousands annually, emergency veteran assistance, veteran advocacy through the Senate Veterans Advisory Committee meeting each month at Milvet, Holidays for Heroes, a veteran pantry and so much more. Board members are involved in the Menifee Chamber and hosts a large event at Fairfield Inn in Menifee annually.

Trauma Intervention Program Riverside County Nonprofit of the Year Nominee

Trauma Intervention Programs of Riverside County

TIP of Riverside County has been serving our communities since 1993.

TIP volunteers respond to active trauma scenes on a 24/7/365 basis at the request of police, fire, and hospital personnel. Volunteers provide emotional and practical support to the survivors while the first responders tend to the victims.

TIP volunteers are the behind the scenes unsung heroes. They appear out of nowhere and quietly fade away when their work is completed on any call. Some of our clients refer to them as "angels sent from heaven".
